My first bird

On number 11 on the Afton Golf Club — my parents took my daughter and me there to shoot 18.

It’s a par 5 hole.

I’m ecstatic.

    Congrats - that’s terrific! I’ve had only 2 looks at a birdie this entire season! I forget they even existed for a while.

    Way to go Kirsten. I managed back-to-back birdies for the first time in a very long time (not long after posting one of my highest scores in years). Post all those scores; enjoy the birdies to come; throw in an eagle or two and fire at the pins for a hole-in-one. I like to think of golf as a game of redemption; it is a process, not an event.
